There are many reasons for which it may be highly unlikely that an attacker has accessed our computer, has our contact list and, in addition, has an intimate video like the one you describe. The reason why it is recommended not to respond and simply ignore the extortionists is that they may think that the account is inactive and, in the future, they may not use it to send new scams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the contrary, if unfortunately you have been a victim of the fraud in question, from the office of the National Cybersecurity Institute it is recommended that you collect all the evidence you have, such as emails, payment captures or other details and file a complaint with the National Body of Police, the Civil Guard or the autonomic police.
