It is a virtual file that shows us the configuration of the CPU. With this file we will know the number of cores, CPU model, cache size, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u25b8$ cat \/ proc \/ cpuinfo<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"512\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/truxgoservers.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/Cat.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-596\" srcset=\"https:\/\/truxgoservers.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/Cat.jpg 512w, https:\/\/truxgoservers.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/Cat-300x211.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 512px) 100vw, 512px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Another alternative is that there is also the option to use CPUID. If we do not have it installed, we enter the following command:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u25b8$ sudo apt-get install cpuid<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To run it, we simply enter:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u25b8$ cpuid<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since this command has an excessively long output, we may not be able to see the first thing it has displayed due to the scrolling it has done.
