This company became known through Facebook or any other social network that showed a classic ad that, mysteriously, promises to multiply a very small investment for you for a few days. You will have to ask how or request more information about all this to scam people. The next thing that can happen to you is that they ask for your phone number and they start flooding you with calls to convince you of that magical investment with cryptocurrencies.
How did they manage to scam people?
The company that contacts you trades and swears that the more you invest, the more you will earn. Perhaps you even dare to try their platform with little and see on the screen that, in effect, your investment multiplies. That would excite anyone, so you invest more and more … until you discover that it is not possible to withdraw the alleged profits. Neither did anything you invested.
In fact, if you search either on YouTube or in the popular search engine, you will find many statements from people who were scammed by this group called Milton Group, which also operates under the names of Cryptobase, CryptoMB and VetoroBanc. Behind the scenes, what happens is that a group of multilingual telemarketers meet in an office in Ukraine, Albania, Georgia or North Macedonia to follow established guidelines to defraud as many unsuspecting people as possible. In exchange for their “work” they receive hefty commissions.
It is estimated that only during 2019 and from the Kiev Ukraine Call Center, the Milton Group managed to scam some 71.5 million dollars. Considering that the company has been in business for three years and assuming that they made similar amounts in previous years, the total amounts to 214.5 million dollars. That, without counting the figures reached by the other Call Centers; so the losses still cannot be calculated exactly.
There are many scams like this and that is why it has always been said that you should not believe everything the internet says.
