When choosing a technological device, the operating system (OS) that makes it work is an essential point in security. If we take a look at the tables that have raised so much controversy we will see that the numbers do not lie and that Windows apparently has fewer vulnerabilities than Mac and even Linux. However, we also see that in this graph the Windows system is subdivided into several versions, while Mac OS X and Linux encompass several versions.

To know this we have to see what each one has and what pros and cons we have in these systems.

How secure is the mac OS operating system

Their software is proprietary and secret. This is called security through the dark and, until recently, it was one of the brand’s best guarantees.

Thanks to its lower popularity, it has received far fewer attacks than Windows since it has gone unnoticed. However, it is increasingly common to find an OS of this type being infected.

It has Windows-like flaws like admin access and OS similarity for all users but… In exchange for this these security issues have always been fixed very quickly.

Contrary to macOS Windows being so popular, it makes this OS receive more hacker attacks. This is due to the fact that the investment of time and money that finding bugs in the system may entail is much more lucrative the more people you can hack.

But despite all this, manufacturers are concerned with creating safe and reliable operating systems. Actually, the most vulnerable part of any OS is the user since:

▸Most people do not know how to protect their computer.

▸A few users use’s strong passwords.

And for many other reasons and that is why we must always have a cold head when browsing the web.
