ENISA, the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity, is a center of expertise for Cybersecurity in Europe. ENISA helps the EU and its member countries to be better equipped and prepared to prevent, detect and respond to information security problems.

What objectives and what does ENISA do?

ENISA offers practical advice and solutions to the public and private sectors of EU countries and European institutions by offering:

▸Contribute to the development of national cybersecurity strategies

▸Organize cyber crisis management exercises at European level

▸Foster cooperation between IT emergency response teams and capacity building

ENISA day-to-day work is established in the annual work program, which is drawn up each year after consultation with the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee. ENISA has also formed a strong network of stakeholders from both the public and private sectors in order to achieve:

▸Experience

Anticipating the emergence of network and information security problems and helping Europe tackle them taking into account the evolution of digital.

▸Policy

Assist Member States and EU institutions in the development and implementation of the policies necessary to meet the legal and regulatory requirements of National Information Security.

▸Capacity

For help Europe equip itself with the most advanced means of network and information security.

▸Community

Enhance cooperation both between Member States and between the National Information Security communities.
