This nRansom does not appear to be an encryptor, but a blocker, which means that, in case of infection, it does not encrypt your files, it simply blocks access to your computer. The ransom note that appears on the screen informs the victims that the only way to regain access to their computers is through photos which must be without clothes and show who the victim is.

As for what they do with the nude photos, you cannot be 100% sure and you can only draw conclusions about the plans that criminals have with the photos they receive but they probably use them to shame their victims and extort money in exchange for more photos or money or sell them on the deep web.

What to do against nRansom

In the event that the blocker leaks onto your PC, you can unlock your computer by simultaneously pressing the Ctrl + Alt + Shift + F4 keys, but then you must run a system scan, although of course you can protect yourself with security tools such as antivirus.

In the event that they manage to infiltrate your computer, although, if you always have your protection active, it is very difficult for it to happen. One of the tools that can help us prevent it is Kaspersky Internet Security neutralizes almost all types of ransomware before they can do anything and System Watcher will detect anything that shows strange behavior.

nRansom has only been detected in a file named nRansom.exe, so it only affects Windows users.

As always, we recommend that you do not pay any ransom if your computer ends up infected as well as with photos since nothing ensures that your information will be returned or unlocked since private information has the same value as money.
