As we all know, WhatsApp is a means of communication (the most used) by many people and this application has existed for a long time but, recently it has been involved in a controversy with its change in policy and privacy. Before the announcement of the new privacy policies of WhatsApp, experts warn that the message app is forcing its users who “reside outside the European region” to accept that the application share their data with Facebook -owner of the application of messaging- if they want to continue using your service. It should be noted that WhatsApp set a February 8 deadline for its users to accept the new policies otherwise they will no longer be able to use these services.

In addition, he added, even if the user does not have a Facebook account, the company and its subsidiaries will be able to collect account information, phone numbers, messages and even transactions.

Due to this controversy of course many people were shocked and with questions like what will happen now, will it be safe to continue using WhatsApp? The truth could not be known fow now, everyone would have to take the risk, it may not even be a cause for concern but it’s still something we can’t be sure about. WhatsApp also gave the next announcement: We want to address some rumors and be 100% clear: We continue to protect your private messages with end to end encryption. WhatsApp posted on his Twitter account and they assure that:

▸WhatsApp cannot see your private messages or listen to your calls, neither can Facebook.

▸WhatsApp does not keep records of who is calling or texting.

▸WhatsApp groups are kept private.

▸WhatsApp cannot see your shared location and neither can Facebook.

No one can assure you of this, since we do not know (yet) how the system works and it is a very sensitive issue… If it can be something to be worried or not and users continue using WhatsApp as if nothing happened, will depend on each one.
