Antergos is a Linux operating system based on Arch Linux, its creator is Alexandre Filgueira, and it is a rolling release distro, which is the evolution of the initial project called Cinnarch, where the Cinnamon desktop environment was used by default. Antergos gives users the freedom to choose between different desktop environments and mounts. This has developed its own graphical installer, Cnchi, which makes the Arch Linux installation process absolutely straightforward for any Linux user. It allows you to configure your system exactly how you want it and boot into a perfectly configured installation without bloating.
Antergos takes great care of his aesthetic appearance, and part of it is due to his association with the guys from the Numix Project. And in case it did not convince us, the classic configuration menu is accompanied by another application called “Retouching tools”, from where we can adjust the appearance of the system by choosing the GTK + theme, the icons or the cursor.

▸Antergos has a graphical installer and Pacman as a package manager.
▸Before, the desktop environment that the distro had was Cinnamon, which is a fork of GNOME Shell, initially developed by Linux Mint, but currently allows the user to decide the Desktop Environment.
▸It does not have an office suite by default, leaving the freedom to choose one to install; however, almost any application you could want can be found in their repositories using PacmanXG4 (PacmanXG4 is an X11 front-end GUI for Pacman).
▸Antergos uses the official Arch Linux and AUR repository, along with its own software repositories.
▸Is available in English, Spanish, Galician and German, has a welcome message in multiple languages.
This distro was primarily intended for novice users as Arch Linux is not recommended for such users due to its complexity Antergos wanted to change this and released an accessible distribution with a simple installation method.
Unfortunately this distro happened to be discontinued due to the lack of time to develop and add new features but that would not mean its disappearance since its community is very active and they promise to return with this named as endeavor.
