Discreet Linux, a distro that runs in live mode, determined to protect us against massive surveillance and attacks by malicious software, such as Trojans. Discreete Linux follows a strict privacy policy. With this distro we find a Debian-based system, GNOME desktop, custom Linux kernel and additional software that obviously allows us to do much more.

By offering protection against Trojan-based surveillance, Discreete Linux provides you with an isolated work environment that cannot be accessed by spyware. As such, your data is protected from surveillance and can be safely stored. As befits that name, it might not surprise you to learn that Discreete Linux began life as Ubuntu Privacy Remix in 2008.

In a theoretical sense, Discreete Linux protects your system by preventing access and blocking the spread of malware. Once in operation, several conditions are established; for example, ATA hard drives will be blocked from running and this is for the purpose of greater security.

Discreet does not offer support for network hardware or even internal hard drives. Therefore, every data is kept offline in RAM or even if you have a USB stick it can be run in live mode.

And this, although if it provides good security, is not for all the public since it has the characteristics mentioned above and is added to a somewhat curious distribution to the hundreds of Linux distros that exist.
