Regardless of the security measures that are implemented in today’s operating systems, in one way or another all software is subject to certain vulnerabilities that can cause a certain program to end up infecting the computer on which it is run, so we will see Subgraph OS, a Linux distribution that has full integration with TOR, full hard disk encryption, integration with the OpenPGP mail service, security and other features, designed for uninitiated users and Linux beginners.

Subgraph OS is designed to resist malware attacks and also attacks on the local network, this new operating system includes a very robust configuration and mitigations of attacks throughout the operating system, thanks to the focus on security, all applications that we install will also be protected, and not only the main core of the system.

The most important applications of the operating system work within a sandbox, in this way, they will run in a controlled and limited environment, this reduces the impact of any attack against the applications. The objective of this system is to reduce the risks of the end systems that users and organizations use, in this way, we can communicate, share information and collaborate without fear of surveillance or possible attacks directed at us. One of the most important features is that it uses AppArmor, and many other security features in its kernel.

Something that must be said is that although it also has integration with TOR to mask all user traffic, making it more difficult for a possible attacker to obtain the location of the computer although this will be more complicated for them, this project is more focused on security that anonymous.

This distro has a kernel specifically modified to provide the entire system with maximum security, this includes the list of patches from the grsecurity and PaX project, in this way the exploitation of the system and the escalation of privileges are mitigated. In addition to making the kernel more resistant to attacks, it offers strong protection for all processes that are running without any specific modification.

Undoubtedly a very useful distro for users looking for strong security within the Network but nothing is perfect that we have to remember although we can try to make it as possible.
