What Linux offers us on Raspberry Pi

Raspberry Pi, is a credit card-sized computer that connects to your television and a keyboard. This OS is ideal for slow computers, and it is known for offering tons of options. There is no single Linux, but it is divided into distributions with clear differences. Even the distros themselves have different versions, delimited by the desktop environment they use and the consumption of resources such as RAM and CPU. Some of the lighter distributions are specially made for Raspberry Pi.

Taking this into account, this can be of great interest to us since, as we have seen that Raspberry Pi needs to have low-power programs and so Linux since it is low-power, some of its forks or adaptations take this maxim to the extreme. System consumption is practically reduced to a minimum, leaving enough free RAM for multiple processes to run at the same time. Nothing to do, for example, with Windows 10 or any other operating system that requires large layers.
