There are many reasons why our systems can be infected with malware. There are many types of attacks on the network and we must always take steps to prevent them. However, when it comes to downloading software, it is one of the most important sources of entry for viruses and other threats, such as programs modified with cracks.

Many users choose to download cracked or pirated programs from the Internet. The reality is that in one way or another we can say that they are available on the net. It is not difficult to come across popular software on download pages. However, this is also a major security concern.

Applications with cracks, become applications whose original code has been modified, altering its operation without the authorization of the program’s developer. Although the main objective of making a crack is to eliminate software licensing restrictions, they are often used maliciously to spread some type of malicious code and steal user information.

Of course one of the most serious problems is ending up infected with malware. There are many reasons why our computers can be infected, but without a doubt downloading cracked software is one of the main ones. We must take into account the risk of installing pirated programs that could put our devices and systems in trouble and even damage them.

There are also those cracks that directly modify the application to eliminate the protection barriers; or those that directly ask to replace a file with an EXE extension by another modified file. In general, the characteristics that these types of files require is that the user has administrator permissions on the machine to be able to make all the required changes.

There are many risks we face if we download cracked applications and that is why our best defense against this is DONT!! download modified applications that are not from an official website.
