Septor is a GNU / Linux distribution that provides users with a preconfigured computing environment to browse the Internet anonymously. It is based on the Debian “Testing” branch and uses Privoxy, a privacy-enhancing proxy, along with Tor’s anonymity network to modify web page data and HTTP headers before the page is rendered by the browser. In fact, many of these privacy-set distros are mainly based on Debian so it gives a good reputation for it.

Septor provides users with a preconfigured computing environment to browse the Internet anonymously, it uses KDE Plasma as the preferred desktop environment and also includes a launcher for downloading the latest Tor browser, as well as OnionShare for sharing. anonymous files and Ricochet for anonymous instant messages.
